The UPCT imparts intensive Computer Aided Manufacturing (21/05/2013)

UPCT students and professionals outside the university will be able to acquire and develop their knowledge of engineering design prototypes during the ongoing fourth edition of Computer Aided Manufacturing using SolidWorks, CAMWorks that imparts the Department of Materials and Manufacturing Engineering, School of Industrial on 30 and 31 May and 6 and June 7.

The course is devoted to the description and management tools available in SolidWorks, CAMWorks program for Computer Aided Manufacturing isolated components and complex products of the metal-mechanics as well as modeling and manufacture of cutting tools, dies, molds and other various tools, including the simulation of cutting, tool design, tooling and other devices, and simulation of journeys made in machine tools and other production equipment and machines.

"It is the program that handle both civil industry, such as shipbuilding and aeronautics to design all kinds of engineering products," said Patricio Franco, teaching with Horacio Sanchez and Manuel Estrems the course.

The course will be conducted in the Laboratory of Numerical Control Industrial School UPCT from 10 am to 14 am and from 16 to 20 pm and is open to students of the Polytechnic University of Cartagena as alumni, staff training and other professionals metal-mechanical sector and other related sectors, requiring a university degree have to complete it.
