School of Public Safety (SPACE) has organized a course on Automated External Defibrillator (AED) to be held on 21, 22 and May 28, and is included in the Training Plan of the City of Cartagena.
The objective of di sminuir mortality and sequelae that cause cardiac arrest, spreading the Basic Life Support techniques among ancillary personnel in accordance with the recommendations of the European Resuscitation Council.
This action helps to boost strategies for early defibrillation in cardiac response, while facilitating the integration of the different actors involved in the chain of survival.
Among the subjects to be taught include:
Introduction to CPR.
Basic Life Support (BLS).
Practice Basic Life Support (BLS).
Semiautomatic External Defibrillator (AED).
Plan to survive a heart attack.
The course will be taught by medical personnel approved by the Public Health Directorate of the Ministry of Health.
