The Aquagest Monitoring Commission approves a social fund for needy families (30/04/2013)

The Monitoring Committee Aquagest contract met this morning for the first time, led by area councilor Infrastructure Ã, Francisco Espejo and assistance of local political groups and representatives of the Federation of Neighborhood Associations.

But the highlight of the treaties was the proposal made ​​by the Department of Social Services, for individual aid payment for the provision of water and sewerage which would benefit needy families by socioeconomic status can not to meet the payment of invoices for these services.

These aids will be encompassed in a Social Fund, worth 157,000 euros per year, with an initial term of three years.

Invoices to pay must be post-December 31, 2011 and should not exceed the limits of the average per capita domestic consumption of the last two years.

Besides aid recipients must hold the contract with Aquagest and invoices must relate to housing consumption that constitutes habitual residence.

Applicants must also be economic benefit recipients, or be a member of Social Services City of Cartagena and have records which have assessed needs related to the lack of means to cover basic needs in the past two years.

These requirements must be approved at the next Local Government.
