The Department of Social Services of the City of Cartagena has denied existed neglect of 45-year, long-term unemployed and evicted a year ago, they decided to commit suicide earlier this week, apparently overwhelmed by their personal and family.
According to the same sources have reported, the victim was part of a family composed of a spouse, and their son-in-law, the latter habitual user of social services, and the case falls within that daily multiple addresses by Department staff.
In January this year, the deceased had gone to the municipal social services, where he handled the insertion basic income.
Days later, the social worker came to meet him, without any personal situation especially detect anomalous, which might suggest suicide.
After the death, the family contacted the Department, which covered the funeral, as usual with people who lack resources.
