On 5 January, at ten o'clock, was held the first official match in the new field of artificial turf Municipal Construction Mediterranean, with the presence of the Councillor for Sports, Diego Ortega, and President of the Football Club Mediterranean Luis Buendía, with his board of directors, and the chairmen of the AFCT and the neighborhood association.
This first meeting was contested by the home team second class child federated Private Club Mediterranean and College Football Torre Pacheco with a score of 1 April, favorable to the visiting team.
The party was held before a large audience, in a festive atmosphere with suppressed emotion for everyone here so it was not the operation of this facility.
This long-awaited moment was made ​​possible through the coordination of efforts between the construction company, the Department of Sports and Football Club Mediterranean.
Pending finalization of the interior fittings of costumes for this year 2013, have been installed interim offices and annexes to the field dressing.
The facilities provide coverage to 18 teams: nine nine federal and local league youth football school, about 400 players, who are already using these facilities permanently to your workouts and weekly competitions.
The project was funded primarily by the City of Cartagena in collaboration with the Directorate General of Sports of the Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia.
Facilities include a large enclosure, art artificial turf, a powerful sprinkler and excellent lighting, which will contribute to improving the quality of training and competition for field users.
