The Governing Board approved projects in the network of interceptors and sewage (23/11/2012)

The Local Government Board, which met this morning under the chairmanship of Mayor, Pilar Barreiro, approved draft improved interceptors and sewage network in the city of Cartagena, which will be implemented by the Water Department of the Autonomous Community with a budget of 1.3 million euros.

As explained by the Councillor for Infrastructure and Services, Francisco Espejo, these are projects that have been developed by the Autonomous Region addressing the deficiencies raised by municipal technicians.

One project the wastewater interceptor Cabezo Beaza polygon, with which to build a pumping station to intercept sewage collectors running down the boardwalk to walk Hondón Alfonso XIII facilitating their drive to purifier Beaza Cabezo and avoiding ending at the port.

His budget is around 800,000 euros.

Other projects involve the adequacy of the spillway of the wastewater treatment plant of La Aljorra, with a budget of 250,000 euros, and in the construction of a pumping station to intercept sewage collectors who go down to the pit San Mateo septic in Marfagones Molinos, and urging them to existing sewer in the same locality.

The latter project budget is also around 250,000 euros.

€ 60,000 less in electricity bills

The Local Government Board has also approved the revision of electricity bills Hall, conducted by municipal services for 2009.

2010 and 2011, and containing an error in the amount of 60,000 euros.

As pointed out by Councilman Francisco Mirror is an amount that had been collected over the City and after check has been returned by the utility to the city coffers.

€ 30,000 IN SCHOLARSHIPS FOR EMPLOYEES PÚBLICOS

Last, among others issues, the Board of Governors approved the call for study grants scholarships to officers and employees on active City of Cartagena.

The overall amount of aid amounts to € 30,000.

The grants, with a maximum of 1,000 euros, depending on income level and family income of applicants, are intended to finance all or part of the amount of the registration of qualifications related to jobs in the City of Cartagena.

This is to promote career advancement and employment of public employees.

A question from journalists spokesman of the government team has assessed the complaint filed at the office for the extra Auditorium and Convention Center of The Tender, noting that the municipal action has always remained within the channels of the law.
