Fulgencio Egea, Cartagena UPyD local coordinator, said that "this is a government team knocked out after five years of economic and political crisis", and not rigorously and seriously face the great challenges of the municipality.
We see no real interest in giving a boost to the local economy, in other words, not only would be considered tax cuts, but new investments in the City Hall.
Thus, according Egea, Cartagena needs more than headlines, policies to attract tourism, promote entrepreneurship and hiring.
"We do not understand that Pilar Barreiro intends to break the seasonality in tourism minimum when reduced to promoting and supporting the Carthaginians and Romans parties, or Easter, or when we have had a year of dirty beaches and complaints from neighbors."
The Cartagena UPyD coordinator recalled that since its formation, Pilar Barreiro has proposed that innovate, that addresses this crisis with new investments to open Cartagena tourism and more citizens or otherwise see as unemployment rises again in the next months.
In his view, the government team has not, nor forward, measures to revive the local economy because it does not, and you shall submit, as soon say, are improvised and designed on the fly.
