The City Council granted new tax breaks to companies that create jobs (07/09/2012)

The mayor, Pilar Barreiro, announced that his administration has already begun work on the development of municipal budgets in 2013, which will have the priority to maintain levels of social care to all those in need pio, pay what should, while maintaining the quality of pubic services and promote employment.

Barreiro stressed that job creation remains a major concern of the municipal government and recalled the significant investments made ​​by the City Council in the past to open the city to tourism and new businesses, as well as fiscal measures put in up in the 2012 municipal budget, designed to reclaim tax to businesses that create jobs.

Among these measures is the bonus of up to 50 percent of l IAE for companies to increase their workforce.

Also companies starting business in Cartagena taxed only half of this tax for the first five years.

Another bonus is the tax on buildings, installations and works that can reach up to 95 percent, depending on the number of jobs to be created, for companies setting up in industrial estates.

Also there is a bonus of up to 55 percent tax on buildings for companies to move, expand their facilities or improvement works carried out, based on the increased number of jobs.

For the mayor, Cartagena is one of the municipalities that has worked for employment, and has advanced in the budget next year will again include a new tax package that will reward with reducing some taxes and fees to employers who create jobs.
