The Local Government Board, at its meeting this morning, chaired by the Mayor Pilar Barreiro, has approved the proposal of the Government to REA of Culture, Archaeological Heritage, Education, Women, Festivities and Sports, to award grants to associations neighborhood and nonprofit groups aimed conducting annual festivities.
The agreement was based on the record of the evaluation commission .
In total € 80,000 have been distributed in grants ranging between 500 and 3,000 euros, not in any case exceed 30 percent of the total cost of the celebrations.
The 45 recipients of these grants have been primarily neighborhood associations.
To be eligible for the same should be constituted, lack of profit, have headquarters in the venue of the project and be discharged from the Municipal Register of Associations.
