The advantages of international cards available to young people (16/07/2012)

The Youth Space, part of the Youth Council, inviting young people to use international cards and benefit from its advantages.

The international cards allow discounts on museums, cultural activities, and other services worldwide.

These credentials were created by international organizations that oversee the promotion of international youth tourism as the ISTC (International Confederation of Student Travel), born in 1949, or FIYTO (International Federation of International Tourism), in the year 2000 celebrated its 50th anniversary.

They are non-profit organizations and have the support of organizations such as UNESCO since 1968 or the World Tourism Organization.

There are three different types of license.

The student, the teacher and the young.

The International Student card (ISIC) offers discounts and benefits in terms of transportation, accommodations, museums, theaters, cinemas, among others.

They can apply for university students of government schools teaching middle or proving their student status with a certificate of enrollment in the current academic year.

The international teacher card (ITIC) leads to the same discounts to the student and to possess has to prove the status of professor.

Finally, the International Youth card (IYTC) permits under 26 get discounts and benefits in terms of transportation, accommodations, museums, theaters and cinemas.

In addition, interested parties may obtain the YHA membership card that allows everyone to stay in hostels in the International Youth Hostel Federation (IYHF), more than 4,200 shelters in 60 countries around the world.

To this belong the Spanish Network Federation of Youth Hostels (RESET).

LANGUAGE

On the other hand, from the Young Tourist Office can also be managed Language Courses Abroad. Youth is a program of the Region of Murcia, a collaboration with Youth Organizations of the Autonomous Communities of Andalusia, the Balearic Canary Islands, Cantabria, Galicia, La Rioja, Madrid, Navarre and Valencia, who act as intermediaries between young people and schools offering courses.

The classes are aimed at young people between 14 and 30. Each course provides the student with learning and perfecting the language by immersion Linguistic and integration in a multi-ethnic international environment.

The courses can be taken during all months of the year.

The courses include classes in the language chosen, accommodation with the type of support that interests and health care policy throughout the stay.

Not only learn the chosen language but also know young people from around the world and gain unforgettable experiences of living abroad.
