Local Fire and Police intensify its work with a view to Midsummer (19/06/2012)

Every year around this time, Local Police and Fire Department intensified its oversight regarding the sale of pyrotechnic products and the installation of traditional bonfires on the night of San Juan, in different parts of the city, neighborhoods and councils.

Since a few days ago Local police officers inspected the premises where sold firecrackers, rockets, flares.

The special device ahead of the festival of San Juan, will comprise approximately 120 actors, including ordinary and extraordinary service to the troops who will join the Fire Department and Civil Protection.

By the evening of Saturday 23, due to the bonfires of San Juan, the local police provided a wide deployment to ensure maximum safety, ensuring the normal development of the fires in different strategic points of the city and both citizens and visitors can enjoy tranquility of a traditional night of the year.

During the day yesterday and the hours before the fires burning, it must be inspected by the Fire Department, in order to approve and ensure maximum safety, considering its size, location or fuel used for burning.

It is also advisable for the proper handling of pyrotechnic devices, always turn the wick on the end in strict accordance with product instructions, do not store fireworks in pockets, or put them on bricks or bottles, it is important not to throw fireworks at anyone, within 500 meters of wooded areas, nor turn them inside the house or near the face or body.

Local Police and Fire, make a special appeal to citizens to act with wisdom and caution in order to enjoy this special night, and recalled the use of public transport as the best way to avoid traffic congestion resulting from the crowds.

RECOMMENDATIONS FOR SAN JUAN WITHOUT INCIDENT

First and foremost there must be an adult person caring for the enforcement of security measures set out below.

About where the fires are prepared:

In no case shall be prepared in the following places: within or within 500 meters of a forest, woodland or field continuous risk less than 15 meters from facades, parked vehicles, trees, street furniture (benches, litter bins, street lights. ..) Within 15 meters of airline service (electric, phone ...).
