Lovers of Classic Sailing have a date this summer in Cartagena (26/04/2012)

From 24 June to 1 July, the Port will host the fourth edition of the Classic Sailing Boating Week, a real time display of boats which also compete in a test scoring for Spain Cup Classic Boats

The Port of Cartagena is still a magnet for major events, such as the IV Classic Sailing Nautical Week, celebrated for the first time in the port city from 24 June to 1 July, making the dock floating in a veritable museum of vintage boats.

The presentation of the event and poster, designed by David Murcia, took place today at the Centre for Tourism Qualification of Murcia, and have been the mayor of Cartagena, Pilar Barreiro, the Minister of Culture and Tourism, Pedro Alberto Cruz , the president of the Sailing Federation of State, Pedro Roman, Chairman of the Racing Club Cartagena, Miguel à ngel Celdran and President of the Organizing Committee of the Nautical Week, Andres Sanchez.

The mayor reminded the dual nature of this event, cultural and sports, which will participate 70 old vessels, nautical jewelery of great value, they also compete in a scoring round of the Cup of Spain and classic boats time, organized by the Spanish Federation and the Mare Nostrum circuit.
