The association has informed the Cartagena of the importance of this condition, affecting and a score of Cartagena and Murcia 130.

The councilors of Social Care, Women and Celebrations, Antonio Calderon, Clara Heredia and Florentina Garcia have gone through the Icue to support the work of the Association of Cystic Fibrosis.

Cystic Fibrosis (CF) is one of the most common serious genetic diseases and an incidence in our country around one in every 5,000 births, while one in 35 people are healthy carriers of the disease.

It is a chronic disease of genetic origin that affects different body organs, especially lungs and pancreas.

In recent years there has been progress in the understanding and treatment of disease but, despite that, it remains a disease with no cure.

It is therefore very important to promote research, and brings us closer to a cure of the disease and improved treatments.
