58,930 people used the web for Holy Week and the application of smartpohones to find out processions (09/04/2012)

New technologies, internet and mobile applications are again for another year an important ally in the dissemination of Easter processions.

The numbers of visits, which last year stood at around 50,000, this year has reached 58,930 during the days before central and processions through the increased use by citizens and tourists of their devices mobile to access the information.

Recognizing this, the Department of New Technologies this year enabled a specific application for smartphones that has been used by 12,417 people, and from which have been offered a visit to 48,316 pages: primarily those relating to schedules and routes of the processions ( 9641), especially the Palm Sunday, Maundy Thursday and Good Friday, and the vision of photographs (1952).

For his part, that the City website dedicated to the Holy Week in collaboration with the four brotherhoods, was visited 46,513 times, making possible the visit of 153,144 pages on which information was distributed about the shows.

The average duration of these visits was over three and half minutes.

By place of origin, mostly from Spain were 43,761, 293, UK, 287, 280, Colombia and the United States, among others.

Among the Spanish visitors, 15,866 did from Cartagena, 9,722 from the rest of the region, 5,353 from Madrid, 3386 from Valencia, and 1,534 from Catalonia.

In terms of content, one of the most popular was the broadcast of the processions, which reached record 17,372 page hits, along with the rest of pages devoted to schedules and itineraries, as well as photographs and Easter marches.
