UPyD Cartagena adds to demand that IU meets its election and demand the change of the electoral law in Andalusia (03/04/2012)

Union, Progress and Democracy (UPyD) believe it is a priority that citizens comply with its election commitments now that is crucial to form a government in Andalusia

Since we want to position UPyD Cartagena as we have done so far to apply to change the electoral law, and now IU has the right to restrict the formation of government in Andalusia as a requirement inexcusable.

As nationwide UPyD is the party with the most votes cost him a seat, and even with 140,000 votes counted did not get seats in the Andalusian Parliament while the winner of the elections, the Popular Party, only cost him 30,000 votes per seat.

It is an unfair electoral law and unrepresentative at will, real, citizens, again see their vote is lost into nothingness again.

Many media note that changing the electoral law is a ruse UPyD to improve performance, but an example of this mistake is found in the Basque Parliament, where the deputy UPyD, Gorka Maneiro also requested, although in this case would prejudice to UPyD.

So we asked for a more proportional Act, using the Hare formula, instead of the D'Hont for counting ballots.

And remove the constituencies using the Autonomous Community as a single constituency.

Cartagena UPyD Coordinator, Fulgencio Egea, says that IU now has an obligation to enforce its program to recognize citizens vote more egalitarian and more balanced regional representation
