Scientists for a day to study the water (27/03/2012)

The Town Hall Square has become a lab this morning in the water.

Tables, test tubes, buckets, jars, some water and accompanied by hundreds of scientists young apprentices.

All morning have experimented with a very specific objective: to raise awareness among younger members of the scarcity of this good and the importance of valuing water.

Although the World Water Day was last week, weather forecasts and carried Aquagest Cartagena City Council to postpone the workshops that had been prepared and organize today.

The day the water has started at 10 am.

The councilors of Environment and Infrastructure, and Francisco Espejo Palazón Carolina, opened the day with a balloon release.

Water is a scarce commodity in the region, but here we are leaders in their management.

It reuses much of the water we consume, has ensured the mayor Francisco Espejo.

About 600 students of primary education have participated this morning in the workshops of World Water Day.

The children have worked in various educational and recreational experiences Conserving water and water in your life, as well as experiments in which water has been the central axis.

Among the experiments that have been highlighted to make music with water, apply to the creation of bubbles and make it the center of a maze, draw water pumps, and manufacturing lava lamps, among others.

The workshops will continue this afternoon from 17 to 19 hours.
