With an area of ​​200.33 meters square, the new building for the Cartagena police organization will improve the effectiveness of police activity in different areas and districts northwest of Campo de Cartagena.

Thus, agents of the police force of this base act in the districts and councils of Castillitos, Los Dolores, Slum Latin America, The fawns, The Plan, The Guide, The Hut, Santa Ana, Santa Ana Polygon, Miranda, Slum Santiago , The Albujón, Las Lomas, The Aljorra, El Palmero and San Isidro.

This building, along with the units Well Strait, El Algar and Cabo de Palos, complete the deployment of troops from the local police in the city of Cartagena, which currently has a total of 364 local police.

The rehabilitation of the Castillito, built in 1899 and declared of Cultural Interest (BIC), as the new headquarters of the local police have made a total investment of 585,000 euros, of which the regional government has provided 375,000 euros through its budget, aimed at improving local police units and the material.

The new headquarters of the local police has three floors and an attic technical area under cover, in which services are organized and administrative operations of the various security forces.
