As in previous years, the Network of Libraries of Cartagena has organized and executed in activity centers called Encounters Author.
This year we have developed during the months of January, February and March and participated authors of great prestige in the world of children's literature as Violeta Monreal, Carles Cano, Norma Sturniolo, Jesus Ballaz, Elvira Menendez, Fine Casadelrrey and Ricardo Alcantara.
In total, there were 50 meetings in which 3,951 students participated from 23 different schools.
Students who have participated have ages ranging between 3 and 12 years.
This activity is becoming every year in the library network and provided at no cost to the City of Cartagena, because publishers are responsible for assuming the costs related to the presence of each of the authors, for their part, schools are charge of transporting the children.
