Mari Loli Garcia, fourth grade student at Public School Poet of Antonio Oliver, has won first prize in drawing and painting SOLIDARITY AND POVERTY, organized under the Fourth Edition of the Cartagena Solidarity Conference.
The second award was for work performed by the student Andres Sanchez Segura, the fourth-grade public school Virgen del Carmen and the third prize for Love Maria Garcia Guillen, a sixth course of Marist College.
All work in this contest with the participation of schools in our city, will be presented on 3rd March in the Plaza Juan XXIII, where they will be awarded the prizes of this contest solidarity.
The objectives of the Fourth Meeting of Solidarity is to present to the citizens of Cartagena, the work that the City Council and NGO'S is being developed in the field of development cooperation.
This activity aims to spread in society development issues and cooperation, seeking to promote social participation through NGO'S that operate in our city and sensitize the general population or specific groups on issues related to the situation Southern countries, the causes that produce them and the efforts being made to their communities overcome by promoting attitudes of commitment and solidarity among citizens of Cartagena by North-South relations more just and egalitarian.
