Not a child without toys this Christmas (05/12/2011)

Backed by the success of previous years, the City re-launch the campaign to collect toys to form a great mountain, which will run from 15 to 28 December, and the collaborating companies, associations and organizations in the city

Due to the proximity of the holidays, and thinking of its main protagonists, the smaller the municipality, with the collaboration of various associations, organizations and companies, re-launching its campaign to collect toys that under the Mountains theme for The Illusion, no child without toys, join, will be held from 15 to 28 December trying to get the highest mountain of toys, which will be deposited in the central courtyard of the administrative building on Calle San Miguel.

The idea is to collect enough toys so that no child in the city is left without a gift to open at least Three Kings Day, hence the collaboration, a year, the council with Their Majesties the Kings, said today the council Care Social, Antonio Calderon, at the launch of the campaign, which was accompanied by the president of Youth Council, Manuel Soler.

This recalled the close involvement of the youth of the town with these actions, as evidenced by the fact that more than a hundred youth associations participating in the campaign this year.

In 2010, a total of 1,332 children saw his dream of opening presents at Christmas, thanks to the campaign that was collected about 2,000 toys.

To date, there are already 1108 applications for toys made up of 22 social action groups in the municipality.

Remember that with this action, collected toys for children from 0 to 12 years, although most respondents are of the age between 9 and 12 years, both boys and girls.

On 15 December at 11.00 hours, the mayor Pilar Barreiro will kick off the campaign, laying the first toy building on Mount San Miguel.

From that moment until day 28, anyone who wants to show solidarity with this cause, you can take your toys, yes, unwrapped to see the age at which they are addressed, both the administrative building as any of the collaborating institutions and associations.

The toy collection campaign is organized by the departments of Social Care, Youth, Celebration, Culture and Youth Council, and has the support, among others, the Regional Assembly, Santa Lucia Hospital Rosell, centers health, and shopping centers such as Carrefour and Eroski.
