The painter Piedad Martinez Torres Cartagena exposed from tomorrow at the Palacio de Molina a collection of 23 paintings, titled "Momentos".
The exhibition, which opens at eight o'clock in the afternoon and remain open until 22 October, includes a series of intimate pictures that fall within the so-called "metaphysical realism".
Piedad Martinez Torres started painting very young and has exhibited in several group exhibitions, most recently "Do not tell me movies," organized by the International Film Festival of Cartagena.
In 1996 he participated, along with a photographer and sculptor in the exhibition "occupies 3," which was held at Centro Cultural Ramón Alonso Luzzy.
The painter describes his creations a personal world, full of scenes of everyday life, feelings and questions, as explained in the foreword to its catalog, the art critic Juan Ballester, adding that a collection is "full of good taste and sensibility. "
Disciple of the painter Francisco Solana from Cartagena, the painter is very influenced by his love of the sea, nature and sports, a very present in his creations.
The exhibition will be opened by the Councillor for Culture of the City of Cartagena, Rosario Montero, and assist, among others, the president of the Regional Assembly of Murcia, Francisco Celdran.
