Patron of Sorrows 2011 (08/09/2011)

The district of Cartagena celebrates its festivals a year in honor of the patroness Our Lady of Sorrows, the feast which is celebrated on September 18.

The program of activities ranges from 2 to 11 September, dates to avoid clashing with Carthaginians and Romans and encourage all to enjoy Cartagena both parties.

The program of activities is carried out by the Group of Rocks in collaboration with the City of Cartagena, Neighborhood junta Municipal Association of Residents of Los Dolores, Regional Assembly and other companies and organizations that make the holiday celebrations in the district of Cartagena .

The proclamation of Narciso Lozano, Dolorense year, opened the festivities last September 2 and throughout the holidays will be going activities for all tastes, with entertainment, dancing, children's games, sports and leisure activities such as skating, and meals of brotherhood to which residents and visitors are invited.

For the second weekend of festivities is scheduled the Grand Parade of floats, on Saturday 10 September at 18.30 hours and at night contest with prizes including crumbs.

On Sunday 11 September will be the first Motoalmuerzo at the fairgrounds, and to eat paella and dance contest finale duo entertained by Nerea

Religious acts will continue until Sunday September 18th, the feast of Our Lady of Sorrows.

At 11.00 hours will take place the wreath at the Parroqua the neighborhood, and 20.00 hours in the afternoon will be the Mass in honor of the patron and procession of the statue of Our Lady of Sorrows in the streets of the neighborhood .
