Fifteen women completed the course of geriatric care in the ADLE (04/07/2011)

The fifteen students from the geriatric care for elderly dependents, offered by the Agency of Local Development and Employment (ALDE), have received diplomas this morning, proving their formation during a ceremony at the ceremonial hall of the Palace Hall, chaired by Councilman Job, Diego Ortega, and the Director of the ADLE, Francisco García-Valenzuela.

The course of geriatric care to dependent elderly began in April, aimed at unemployed people.

As explained by the Councillor for Employment, Diego Ortega, received more than a hundred requests, making the course in one of the most demanded by the unemployed in the municipality, which continue to be offered from the Agency of Local Development and Employment.

The fifteen women selected have received theoretical training lasting 150 hours, the nursing students do their training during the month of June.

Specifically, those practices have been developed in the Virgen del Mar Homes, Los Almendros, Residential House, Residence the Marines, Residence Santa Ana Nova, Group Care and Home Care Service (ODS).

The students in the course have an important point for their employment, as is the case Conchi Blaya, who conducted the training practices at the residence of Perín House, despite the difficulties in finding employment, are more motivated and prepared to enter the workforce in the health industry, and is enrolled in Nursing Assistant.

With this training, the Agency of Local Development and Employment aims to improve the chances of employment for the unemployed people of Cartagena.
