Fire and Civil Protection warn of risks in the bonfires of San Juan (21/06/2011)

The service Firefighting and Civil Protection of Firefighters Cartagena has developed a set of instructions for performing the traditional bonfires of San Juan the evening of Thursday June 23, o.

The aim is to avoid risky situations with the placement of fires in inappropriate places, the burning of polluting material, and other dangerous attitudes in handling of firecrackers and rockets during the night.

The main recommendation is to place the stake in a totally isolated place away from trees or vegetation, walls, parked vehicles or street furniture such as benches or bins.

The instructions drawn up by civil protection also includes recommendations on handling of firecrackers and rockets.

BONFIRE ON RECOMMENDATIONS:

In no case shall be prepared in the following locations:

Inside or within 500 meters of a forest, woodland or land continued risk.

Less than 15 meters of overhead utilities (electricity, telephone ...)
