The T-Visit the Mining Park of La Union (21/06/2011)

T-LA Program (Alternative Leisure) of the Youth Council has organized for Saturday June 25th a visit to the Mining Park of La Union, two hours, which includes not only the visit to the Mina Vicenta Groups which is the main attraction, but also tour the park on the mine train.

The output will rise to 9.15 hours from Youth Resources and the registration fee is 8 euros. For registrations or more information about this activity must contact the Youth Resource Center, Paseo Alfonso XIII, No. 53 .

Groups Vicenta Mine dating back to 1864 and remained so until mid-twentieth century, with the extraction of pyrite.

This is one of the mines visited Europe's largest, with over 4,000 square meters open to the public at 80 meters.

Huge galleries, superb vaults, huge pillars and even an underground lake of reddish water form a unique and different, a place open to the senses.

And thanks to a spectacular musealisation (including special effects, dramatized audio-visual and mannequins), the visitor will make a trip back in time and move to another time when you will see how they lived and worked for former miners.
