The Belgian ambassador predicts an increase in trade with Cartagena (07/06/2011)

The acting mayor, Pilar Barreiro, held this morning a meeting with the Belgian ambassador in Spain, Johan Swinnen, visiting the city with the aim of strengthening ties and increasing trade relations, and makes it accompanied by the consul in the Region de Murcia, Juan Pedroza.

Swinnen, which carries two years in Madrid at the head of the Belgian Embassy has expressed interest in learning about different communities that make up Spain, in this case Murcia, Cartagena emphasis on the quality of its infrastructure.

In this regard, the ambassador has shown amazed our port, crucial for future transactions, which has been compared with that of Antwerp, and the Polytechnic University, considers it a perfect combination of tradition and modernity.
