Mérida model shows the archaeological recovery of Cartagena (17/05/2011)

The Institute of Archaeology and Monumental de Mérida consortium dedicated on Wednesday May 18th a day of conferences to the city of Carthago Nova and archaeological heritage that exists in the current Cartagena.

Inside the Series: "Cities of the Iberian Peninsula. Archaeological News. Cartagena", the seminar shows the importance of the capital city and port Carthaginensis conventus unavoidable in the Mediterranean trade routes.

Evidence of that moment of glory are the many remains preserved from the theater, amphitheater and other public and private buildings, which were commissioned and museological value has been essential to the cultural and economic revival of the Cartagena today.
