The village of San Antón has turned in the celebration of festivals of May, they had their big day on Saturday 7 May.
The Municipal Institute of Social Services City of Cartagena and groups of Barrio San Anton were in charge of organizing and Los Mayos de San Antón Cruces 2011, who have had this year with a large number of users.
The program began on Saturday at ten o'clock with the soles of the Mayos and continued to noon with the opening of several exhibitions in points landmarks such as the Casino to the Hospital Santa Teresa, which represent a journey through the tradition and popular culture in this neighborhood.
On Saturday continued with the closing of the Mayos contest and various workshops for children, to follow with great popular barbecue, and tasting moraga michirones popular for an evening of celebration that ended at dawn after the traditional dance.
The objective of this activity is to encourage the participation of various neighborhood groups, who join in these celebrations inclusive and rooted in the history of the neighborhood of San Antón.
On the feast of the Mayos also collaborate Counseling Social Policy, Women and Migration in the Autonomous Community, the Association of Romeros, Adult Education and Tupac Jatari associations, Serpa, AMPA Colegio San Antonio Abad, Accem, Cepain.
