Telecofórum presents applications of ICT in emergency services (11/04/2011)

Applications of telecommunications in emergency services or future 4G mobile communications will be among the topics to be developed in the next edition of Telecofórum, to be held tomorrow, Tuesday, at the Polytechnic University of Cartagena (UPCT).

These technical conferences organized by the School of Telecommunications Engineering of the UPCT, are part of the Annual Forum of the Information Society (SICARM).

The conference, which will inaugurate the Minister of Economy and Finance, Inmaculada Garcia and the rector of the UPCT, Felix Faure, participating companies, which will introduce new applications and developments related to the fourth generation mobile communication systems, public institutions world of emergencies, research groups and university departments.

Among the conferences included the presence of Pedro Caravaca, who will speak on "Telecommunications and Emergency Management in Watersheds" at 10:30 hours.

Also participate Félix García Fernández, 4G technology specialist Alcatel Lucent (ALU), who will speak on "LTE Solution Mobile Data Tsunami" at 18.00.

On Wednesday, April 13, students participating in the Telecofórum attend the technical sessions of SICARM held in the Auditorium and Congress Centre of Murcia.

The opening of Telecoforum be held in the Salon de Grados of the School of Telecommunications Engineering (Old Barracks Antiguones) at 10.00 h.
