The fight against truancy centers the International Roma Day (08/04/2011)

As in previous years, the Municipal Institute of Social Services to the Department of Social Services of the City of Cartagena has joined the celebration of International Roma Day, an important date this year met the fortieth anniversary of the April 8 d and 1971 when it hosted the first Congress of Roma, held in London to institutionalize the flag and anthem gypsy.

FORTY YEARS OF CONGRESS FIRST GYPSY

The group celebrated its greatest day as other years with the reading of the Manifesto of the Roma has been given by a class member, after the words of Councillor Social Care and the director general of social inclusion programs.

To conclude the event was played the gypsy song (Gelem Gelem) and perform the traditional rite of candles and flowers, where it has settled, among others, a red carnation as a tribute to the Gypsy people.
