Local police officers arrested in Cartagena last Monday morning a man of Roma and 39 years of age, for an alleged crime of theft of manhole covers.

The man, whom police already knew from an earlier, was finally caught on the road in La Palma when carrying a shopping cart several metal manhole covers records pertaining to drinking water and sanitation, as well as different material and labor 10 meters of copper cable.

The man, who said the agents seized, if any intention of selling them later to raise money, was arrested and brought to justice.
