More than 500 applications for courses ADLE (08/03/2011)

After closing the application deadlines and perform various processes of selection, among the 514 people interested in applying for a training course, the Agency of Local Development and Employment (ALDE) will launch the training activities, which will characterize this first half of the year, increasing training in languages, especially English and in professions related to tourism.

These may include basic English, lifeguards, tour guide and cruise conferences, basic computer skills, advanced mediay geriatric care to elderly dependents.

In the course of basic English, which is currently offered, are participating a total of 13 students following a mixed mode of training, with a total distance of 120 hours and 8 hours of lessons with native teachers face.

As a novelty, once the training, students may choose to continue their training in Dublin for two weeks, where he made an English course that will further enhance their knowledge.

The stay abroad includes accommodation for two weeks with families in half-board, the language course and teaching materials.

The 13 students selected for the course for lifeguards begin this training activity at the end of March.

A course sponsored by the Regional Employment Service and Training and the ESF, and managed by the Bureau of Local Development and Employment.

The duration of this training is 240 hours and will be held in the mornings, Monday to Friday from 9:00 to 13:00.

The tour guide during the cruise and conferences, with a duration of 40 hours for a total of 20 people, will begin on March 14 and end on April 2, and the training is conducted in English, in the afternoon the theoretical and in morning practice training.

People who finish the training will become part of the Placement Agency in the Agency of Local Development and Employment Cartagena firms engaged in tourism industry to have these students for future hiring.

For the month of April, the ADLE teach the course in the care of elderly dependents, for a total of 15 people.

The students will receive a specific theoretical training in the area of geriatric care and 150 hours of practical training one month in work related to the care of dependent elderly.

The computer courses are conducted over the coming months, starting in March, the basic level, in April the average level in the month of May the advanced level, for a total of 15 people per course.

Each of these courses have a duration of 24 hours and classes are held Monday through Thursday from 5 to 8 pm at the Agency of Local Development and employed.

With the implementation of these training activities, the Agency of Local Development and Employment aims to improve the chances of employability of the unemployed in the municipality of Cartagena, as well as enhancing the skills of current workers.
