Social Services to form 34 new carers for people with Alzheimer's (23/02/2011)

The 34 students in the course of specialized care for Alzheimer patients have received their diplomas Social Care Councillor of the City of Cartagena, Antonio Calderon, Tuesday Feb. 22 at a ceremony held in the building of the Miraculous.

This course of vocational training for unemployed is organized by the Institute s Municipal Social Services, and funded by the Regional Employment Service and Training of the Autonomous Community of Murcia and funded by the European Social Fund.

The Course of Specialized Care for Alzheimer began on 15 November and was attended by 250 hours.

The only requirements for this training are to be in possession of the title of Assistant Nursing and be registered with the employment office as unemployed.

The students have studied various subjects such as Introduction to Nursing, Dementia.

Alzheimer's disease.

Treatment, Physical and Psychological Complications in Alzheimer patients, Specialty Care, Outreach Patient, family problems, resources, policies and considerations à ‰ Legal and other issues.

The City of Cartagena and the Autonomous Community, want to answer the great demand in the service sector in the Region of Murcia, allowing for media training courses necessary for the working age unemployed job seekers for that this type of specific actions allowed their inclusion in working life.
