The Risen Guild donated to the Holy and Royal Hospital of Charity (11/02/2011)

The Royal and Illustrious Brotherhood of Our Father Jesus the Risen will donate to the Holy and Royal Hospital of Charity on the throne in strolling through the streets of our city the Virgin of Charity, for more than 50 years and has been part of the Easter procession through the year 1985, bearing the images of the Association of the Apparition of Jesus to Mary Magdalene.

The ceremony will take place on April 9, at 13 h.

in the warehouses of the Brotherhood in the street Mahon.

At the same, attend Tomás Martínez Pagán, as Big Brother of the Brotherhood who is accompanied by the Chaplain and the Governing Board, Julio Sarabia Ros as president of the Association of the Apparition of Jesus to Mary Magdalene with executives of the same, Jose Vera as Big Brother of the Holy and Royal Charity Hospital with members of the Board of Governors, all assisted by a notary public attesting to the donation.

They will also be invited to the act of giving authorities and prominent people in society Cartagena, deserving special mention Viudes Adrian Angel, President of the Port Authority of Cartagena, by linking this organism to the Virgin of Charity, we should not forget that This image came to Cartagena by sea and port staff has always been involved in the preparations of the different outputs of the image for our city.

Relinquish the throne that was built in 1946 by the carpenters Cartagena and founders of the Brotherhood in July and his son Zaplana Sarabia Francisco Sarabia Albaladejo, the latter in turn founded the Association of the apparition of Jesus to Mary Magdalene, which was President for over 50 years.

This built in pine wood stained in mahogany, with silver ornaments and gold patina.

The dimensions of its base is 3,300 mm long by 2,000 mm wide and is complete with eight poles, with 60 needed for the portapasos march in procession.

Has been part of our procession since 1947, with his last outing in 1985 then the following year, was replaced by a new throne, leaving it exclusively for use when needed at the outputs of the Virgin of Charity and with this sole purpose, is made in the same major reforms to facilitate its passage through the doors of his church, especially at low altitude which have doors.

Since its construction was the throne used for these egregious cases, since he was in 1955, moving to our patron saint from the Church to the Square of the Heroes of Cavite on the occasion of second coronation.

In 1993, when he walked through our streets to commemorate the third anniversary of the Holy Royal Charity Hospital and also served as a prayer for the crisis at that time the city suffered.

In 2005, the 50th anniversary of the second coronation and even next year 2010, on his pilgrimage to Saint Lucia to mark the Jacobean years.

However, linking this with the Holy Brotherhood and the Royal Hospital of Charity of the origins of the Brotherhood itself, as José Antonio Pérez González, first Big Brother after the founding of the Risen Christ in 1943, stated that each year the donation is made an ounce of gold to that charity, with Big Brother Board of Governors, Mariano Pascual de Riquelme and by José Antonio Pérez González Treasurer of the same.

This initiative has endured over the years and, every Easter Sunday, our Elder Brother accompanied by a small group of its Board of Bureau access to the Church of Charity, at the time the procession passes by their door, and delivers the Ounce of Gold
