Forty unemployed are trained as cooks and waiters (26/01/2011)

The Municipal Institute of Social Services City of Cartagena has organized two courses restaurant kitchen and waiter-bar supported by the Regional Employment Service and Training (SEF) and for about 40 people unemployed.

Both courses are practical and the fundamental objective is that students learn in the most similar to the reality that then they will make in their work.

Cookery Course began on January 17 and lasts 730 hours of class, Monday to Friday from 9.15 to 15.15 hours in the training room of the building of the Miraculous.

Until 19 July, a total of 17 students of all ages will learn subjects such as national cuisine, international cuisine, creative cuisine, cuisine and decor.

Furthermore, the teaching units also include modules on Health and Environmental Protection, with information on prevention of occupational hazards, dining, pre-processing and food preservation or Culinary Techniques and Products.

To shape their knowledge, students will make a total of 80 hours of work placement s, which facilitates their incorporation into the world of work in a wide range of possibilities, from restaurant kitchens and cafeterias to campsites, large complexes, or catering for schools or kindergartens, as explained by the course instructor Mariano Tomás.

LEARN FROM S COOKERS AND BEHIND THE BAR

Students from the cooking course, which takes place on the premises of the building of La Milagrosa, doing their training together with the course of Restaurant-Bar Bartender, which began last October and end on May 10, lasting of 820 teaching hours, between theory and practice.

A total of 17 students are trained in different thematic modules as several dining, room service, cocktails, or carve meat and fish.

ACCESS TO THE WORLD OF WORK

OTHER Course of Formation "N FOR UNEMPLOYED

The Municipal Institute of Social Services has also launched the Occupational Trainer Course, which began on January 10th and end on May 28, with 380 teaching hours in time from 9.00 to 13.00 pm, in the training room of the building of La Milagrosa.

Students in this course will study the following subjects: The Plan of Training, Programming Teaching-Learning Process, Teaching Interaction, Autonomous Learning Strategies, Monitoring Formative Assessment Test Design Learning, Assessment of the training, Innovation and Upgrade Teachers.
