Cartagena Tourism is growing in double the national average (20/01/2011)

Today is the Day of the Region in the International Tourism Fair (FITUR) in Madrid, where the city of Cartagena takes on a special role, as noted by the Mayor, Pilar Barreiro, who was present, highlighting a very significant, and tourism in our town has grown by 5 percent, twice the national average, which climbed 2.5 percent.

In this sense, the mayor pointed out the great project of the city in 2011, the Auditorium and Congress Palace, the most important work has been done in Cartagena in recent years and that will set the future tourism development the municipality.

From the architectural point of view, provide the city a unique and special identity, and at the same time promote conference tourism, a tourism industry on the rise.

As data supporting the tourism boom in the city are the nearly 344,342 visitors during the last year in the network of Cartagena Port of Cultures, an increase of 5 percent, more than 17,305 visitors in 2009.

CRUISE TOURISM
