Rosa Huertas talks about the poet Miguel Hernández with readers Hache Award (13/01/2011)

The cycle of meetings with author Hache received tomorrow Award to writer and professor Rosa Huertas presents his novel Bad Moon (Edelvives, 2009).

The main event will take place at 11.00 hours s at the Auditorium of the Polytechnic University of Cartagena (UPCT) where the writer will meet with 600 high school students.

Young readers are those that make up the jury of the contest for Youth Literature hosted by the City of Cartagena by the departments of Education and Culture to promote reading among teenagers, and is recognized to be the most democratic country.

Huertas's work, Bad Moon is a tribute to the poet Miguel Hernández Alicante in 2010 celebrated the centenary of his birth.

The story centers on two characters who know the truth behind the memory of their grandparents, they discover each other and fluctuate between friendship and mistrust, loyalty and betrayal.

The feelings will surface on the trail of the poet goatherd.

After the meeting with readers in the UPCT, Rosa Huertas continue presenting is his first novel in a visit to Pedro Peñalver Institute to maintain a more intimate discussion with students at this school.

In the afternoon, at 17.00 hours s, the writer will visit the Intercultural Center of The Graduate, recently remodeled, presenting his book and talk to young men living in reading committees registered through the center.

Bad Moon rise for 2011 with Record Award Pania Hache (Edebé, 2009), Michael Sandin, and Ok, Mr. Foster (Edelvives, 2009), the recent National Award for Children's Literature, Eliacer Cansino.

The voting on this traditional literary prize will take place in April.

THE AUTHOR

Huertas Rosa is Professor of Language and Literature at a college, and takes years years, however, wanted to experiment with literature from the other side of the barrier.

His first novel, Bad Moon, presents an intergenerational dialogue on the history and the post-war time through a suggestive reason: a notebook in which unaccounted for are believed to include the last lines written by Miguel Hernández.

The work is also a tribute to the poet Alicante, which is celebrated in 2010 the centenary of his birth.
