UPyD claims that the waste of resources of the government team on large sites will wreak havoc on municipal finance (12/01/2011)

UPyD regrets that after sixteen years of government, our mayor has been devoted to imitating his boss in the CCAA in the practice of waste of resources, high debt, a good engineering to mask the deficit accounting, conflicts of interest of some of his councilors , violations of ethical standards and populist performances and media works with the result irreconcilable with the old town.

UPyD believes that the impact on unemployment could have been smaller and faster recovery if he had recognized that the model was inadequate and had undertaken the necessary steps to change the economic parameters, and regrets that the City Council Cartagena, and in particular its mayor only concerned about the welfare of their "friends" and not promoting the clustering of local companies that can leverage their competitive advantage and skilled workforce.

Have missed an opportunity to build the great city that we deserve the people of Cartagena and have been unable to articulate a future major project in the center that reconciles homes and shopping centers to promote coexistence and encounter in a large urban forum.

A model of the city to ensure a balanced distribution of equipment and a polycentric urban

UPyD undertakes to prepare a strategic plan for the town's development goals with a clear diagnosis and determining the actions of government, developed with citizen participation.

This Plan would be made public on the municipal Web and will be updated with regular reports of its implementation, making it easier for citizens to add their comments.
