Health invested over 400,000 euros in the Primary Care Clinic in Mazarron Camposol (15/12/2010)

Since early 2010, the regional government has already launched three primary care centers in Mazarrón

The Minister of Health, María Ángeles Palacios, opened today with the mayor of Mazarrón, Francisco Blaya, the Primary Care Clinic Camposol in which his Department has invested a total of 407,787 euros.

Palacios said that "it is a center that is equipped with the latest technology to let users enjoy the best possible care based on quality."

This center, according to the minister, will "meet the basic needs in primary integrated citizens in Cartagena Health Area II.

"Given the significant population growth and the distance that is Camposol Mazarrón this new office was essential to provide all citizens the same services," he said.

Palacios explained that the Primary Care Center Camposol is sized to serve about 5,500 inhabitants and future health care demands by exponential population growth in recent years, and in this respect stressed the effort made by the regional government to increase health services in this area.

The building is located on an area of 500 square meters and has a ground floor with 404 sq meters and a basement of 538 square meters.

The new office has two outpatient family medicine, nursing a two multipurpose, a Board of extraction, Breastfeeding and Extraction Room.

Primary Care Center also offers other services such as three modules of waiting rooms, an area for medical records file and store medical waste.

Also, Palacios must "this office, like others who are in the region, has an internal computer network to connect all units together and with other health centers."

Performances in Mazarrón

The Minister of Health stated that "with this and there are two health centers in this town built by the regional government in 2010 and they have to add the expansion and renovation of Mazarrón Health Center."

In this way, he said, "from the Ministry has fulfilled the commitment made by the municipality but no reason to stop investing in Health."

The Health Centre Puerto de Mazarrón was opened in June by President of the Autonomous Community, Ramón Luis Valcárcel, and serves a population of 18,000 in a stable manner.

The center has seven family physicians, two pediatricians, six nurses, four aides and a security guard throughout the year.

On the other hand, citizens of the town also have the Mazarrón Health Center, which was expanded and renovated so that it can offer health care to 25,000 people.

The medical team of this office consists of 11 family physicians, three of Pediatrics, a odontologoestomatólogo, 11 nurses, a midwife, a dental hygienist and social worker.

The Minister concluded that "from the Murcia Health is still committed to providing all citizens of the region's best health care and this requires investment in infrastructure and equipment."
