The trade show Armilla (Granada), received last weekend in Spain XVI Petanque Championship FEddi 2010 with the participation of 34 clubs throughout the country among which was the CD Primi Sport of Cartagena, representation of the Autonomous Community of Murcia.
There were also participants in Andalusia, Castilla la Mancha, Madrid, Castilla León, Asturias, Extremadura, Catalonia, Aragon, Valencia and the Balearic Islands.
Highlights for the Cartagena was that in the individual category, the representative of CD Primi Sport, Manuel Tortosa, was classified as champions and gold medal, competing with 36 athletes across the country.
Also, the CD Primi Sport participated in the couplet form of three teams: the CD Primi Sport A (Alfonso David Plaza and David Garcia), who failed the first phase with 46 teams registered couplet, being out in the qualifying stages.
The other two teams couplet, the Primi CD Sport B (Aegean and Victor Ignacio Delgado) and CD Primi Sport C (José Carlos Moreno and Ruben Ros), got through the first and second cut, reaching the quarter-finals where they were eliminated but ranked among the top eight in Spain.
Leading the expedition traveled Juan Delgado, monitor and coach school sports pitch Primi Sport CD.
All participants were treated to a visit to the Alhambra in all its units to the conclusion of the championship.
Primi Sport Sports Club participates in the national championships thanks to the collaboration and sponsorship of the Directorate for Sport of the Autonomous Region of Murcia and the Department of Sports City of Cartagena, as the main maintainer of the sports schools.
