150 stalls make up the Medieval Market IX to be held this weekend The mayor has opened this morning this huge market, which has 50 posts over the past year, and includes in its program a multitude of attractions featuring jugglers, musicians , acroba (26/11/2010)

The Mayor, Pilar Barreiro, has been responsible for opening the ninth edition of the Medieval Market, located in the old city, which organizes the city of Cartagena, through the Department of Social Services and the Municipal Institute of Social Services , whose doors will be open until Sunday 28 November.

Thanks to the wide acceptance in recent years this activity has had briefed the mayor, has expanded the use of the number of streets for installation of the 150 houses that make up the Medieval Market, 50 more than last year.

During this weekend, several actions will be developed, around the medieval traditions that take us to the aromas of the past through the minstrels, knights and ladies.

Kabyle armies and occupy our streets these days, turned into a medieval city.

What we want, stressed, Pilar Barreiro, is to revitalize the town, with various activities to introduce us to medieval times, with jugglers, caballelos, women and artisans.

From Friday to Sunday, will alternate throughout the day various events such as parades, show fabrics, German wheel, fire, jumping stilts, jugglers, birds of prey, acrobatics, balance and performance of medieval music in the market environment .

The market will be encouraged by the glass blower, the press, medieval archery, falconry and animal farm and craft workshops for children.

They also enjoy the Caravan of burritos, the School of squires, and the Fool traditional gaming era.

The booths have been installed next to the Plaza de la Merced, and in the streets of Don Roque, Knight, San Francisco, Smiley Square, Plaza de San Ginés, San Antonio the poor and Duke Street.
