IV Conference on Security and Elderly (08/11/2010)

Cartagena City Council works with the Federation of Associations and Senior Centers Cartagena and Shire in the celebration of the I V Conference on Safety and the Elderly, on 11 November, which will address topics such as basic needs cover every human being needs to achieve well-being and full development.

Under the slogan Safety and the Elderly, the activity will take place in the auditorium of the National University of Distance Education will inaugurate the Social Care Councillor of the City of Cartagena, Antonio Calderon. Security is one of the basic needs that every human being should be covered to achieve well-being and full development.

Throughout our lives, the areas of security that attempts to fill vary and are determined inter alia by age and time of our lives we go through.

Thus, the safety of a young person is focused on labor issues, personal achievement, while in the case of older people is based more on achieving a safe environment have to let you enjoy the years of life that are not large smoothly.

Although the elderly are more likely to have accidents or become victims of crime, speak very little care and security that should have these seniors, however the older segment has been growing steadily over the last two decades, and advances the figure will continue to grow, so it is important to work on their quality of life is better every day.

These are the reasons why the Federation of Senior Centers and Cartagena and Region, in collaboration with the Department of Social Policy, has organized this day of Safety and the Elderly.

PROGRAM OF THE DAY

9.30 am: Reception and delivery of documentation.

9.50 pm: Inauguration Day by Antonio Calderón Rodríguez, Councillor of Greater City Council Social Care Cartagena and Maria Beteta Jiménez, President of the Federation of Associations and Centres for the Elderly.

10.00: First Report: Major: now up to them, by Manuel Asensio Montilla, Chief Inspector of the police force of Cartagena.

10.45 am: Break.

11.20 am: Second Report: Public Safety, by Rafael Fernández Savir, Chief Inspector of the Department of Public Safety of the National Police of Cartagena.

12.O5 hours: Third Paper: More Safety Plan by the Civil Guard Officer, responsible for the above-mentioned plan.

12.50 pm: Closing Day by Javier Herrero Padrón, Councillor of Greater Public Safety delAyuntamiento Cartagena and Maria Beteta Jiménez, President of the Federation of Associations and Centres for the Elderly.

13.00: Spanish Wine.
