Maria Duenas and Paula Cifuentes, highlights of the Historical Novel Week XI (21/10/2010)

Historical Novel Week Cartagena celebrates its eleventh edition, and does so despite the crisis and all sorrows, as have stressed those involved in organizing this cultural event during the presentation ceremony, the Councillor for Culture Rosario Montero, the director of the work culture of CajaMurcia in Cartagena, Julio Mínguez, and the president of the Association of Friends of the Historical Novel, Jorge Poyato.

Will be held in the evenings, from 17.30 to 19.00, in the Hall of CajaMurcia.

As for the highlights of this year, leading the authors are closing the week, the young Paula Cifuentes, who is only 25 years and has been finalist for the Alfonso X the Wise of historical novel 2007 with Time bastards, and the Cartagena Maria Duenas, who is awarded the City of Cartagena 2010 by The time between seams, which has become a best seller.

Also pass through the eleventh week of Historical Novel of Cartagena other renowned authors such as Jesus Sanchez Adalid, finalist of the City of Cartagena Fernando Lara Award 2010 and 2007, Emilio Calderon, a finalist for the Premio Planeta 2009; Jorge Martínez Reverte, Ortega y Gasset Prize Journalism 2009, Cristina López Barrio, author of the new batch, James Posteguillo, finalist of the City of Cartagena 2010, and as media stars, as well as writers and journalists, Pilar Eyre and Teresa Viejo.

All lectures will take place starting at 19.30 hours in the Hall of CajaMurcia (Icue Square).
