The District Coordinators of Villalba, Private Mediterranean and New Cartagena, Los Mateos, Lo Campano and Santa Lucia, El Llano del Beal, El Algar and La Palma have received today from the hands of the Social Care Councillor, Antonio Calderon, grants totaling than 32,000 euros within the Municipal Plan of Drug Dependence.
From City Hall, and in particular through PMAD, programs have been developed Community Prevention of Drug Addiction Coordinators in our local neighborhoods, integrating prevention activities and health promotion, and improving the quality of life and alternatives Leisure.
The objectives of these programs Community Prevention of Drug Addiction can be summarized as follows:
Integrate drug prevention activities in leisure time by the partnerships.
Promote recreational activities such alternatives, cultural and sporting.
Promoting healthy habits in holidays and leisure contexts.
Sensitize young people about the risks associated with alcohol consumption, snuff and other drugs.
Support actions to increase critical awareness of the population regarding the alcohol, snuff and other drugs, and to encourage social participation to achieve a healthier neighborhood.
