10.5% of secondary municipal workers general strike (29/09/2010)

93 municipal employees of the City of Cartagena, a staff of 1,246 people, have supported the general strike today, according to data from the Department of Personnel.

This number represents 10.5% of the 883 municipal workers ability to strike, since the total number subtract the local police and 45 officers included in the minimum services.

The work has developed as normal in all municipal offices.

As for other services and municipal contracts, is only remarkable blocking Alsa garages, municipal bus dealership, where pickets blocked the exit of the minimum service bus and city cranes.

This fact was communicated to the Government Office, the service being restored at ten o'clock.

Normality has also been the general trend in other municipal utilities, which have operated with minimal services, and have worked in the case of cleaning the city, 50 percent, as noted by the Deputy Mayor, Agustín Guillén .
