The UPCT trains its students to help new students during their period of adaptation (22/09/2010)

The Vice-Rector for Academic Chiron project starts today to provide the new students adapt and integrate into university life, said the rector, Josefina García León.

The project involves a voluntary teachers and students with experience in UPCT.

These students engaged in mentoring the new students.

Accompany them and guide them in the first days of the course to facilitate their integration into the university.

In turn, each of the Teachers-Tutors exercises supervision of the mentors who guide their mentees, freshmen.

Last year nearly one hundred students participated in the first edition of the Chiron project.

The satisfaction rate among participants was high, highlights the Vice Chancellor.

To ensure the success of the project, as mentors UPCT skills related to social skills, commitment, decision making and leadership.

The project begins this morning with an explanatory meetings for each of the campuses of the University to be held in different schools with morning and afternoon.
