Be earmarked an investment of over EUR 1.3 million to improve road safety on the roads that connect the population with San Javier and Torre Pacheco
The Ministry of Public Works and Planning, through the Directorate General of Highways, eliminated two more black spots on the council of La Palma, Cartagena, to improve road safety on the roads and RM RM-F35-F36, that connect people with San Javier and Torre Pacheco respectively.
The Director of Roads, Jose Guijarro, said, "is an action in an area of intensive traffic, due to significant industrial and agricultural activity in the environment, so it will benefit more than ten million drivers traveling through the area each year, of which 100,000 are heavy vehicles. "
The tendering of the works has already begun and involves an investment of 1,322,957 euros, which includes the construction of two roundabouts, at km 14.5 of MR-F35 and 4.7 for MRI-F36, which shall 46 meters outside diameter, with a two-lane road four feet wide and internal and external shoulder of a meter.
Also, install the appropriate signage, both vertically and horizontally, and the beacon, as well as lighting, thus improving the visibility of maneuvering around the environment and reducing the risk of accidents.
"These road infrastructure will help achieve one of the main objectives of the regional government in roads, reduce accidents, as the roundabouts led to a decrease of speed at intersections.
