COLOMBIAN LITERATURE

Literature Colombia is making its way back into the world scene after the paternity of García Márquez.

For Colombia the twentieth century is the consolidation of his novel at the international level and without the hindrance definitely doomed romantic-manners towards modernity.

Four factors mark the path of the new Colombian narrative as the resounding success of The Vortex-national Eustasio Jose Rivera, the emergence of the novel of violence, the Nobel Prize for Literature awarded to Garcia Marquez's novel generation postmacondiana rich and varied panorama bursts into the Hispanic and surprises the rest of the world.

All this development is the result of slow progress toward modernity modernism literary original to end in postmodernity.

The novel tells the tumultuous relationship between reality and fiction, between history and literature.

Evidence aesthetic debate and enables the creation time around that conflict.

In the 50's and 60's, Colombia is shaken by the violence manifested partisan ends in the letters of the country, at first, as a pure testimony later to be an aesthetic choice on the strength of the theme gives way to the development of powerful works and aesthetic value.

Now the Colombian novel goes in search of a new expression, it enhances the story, unedited and explores realities, it takes a renewed position in American Literature.

There is a continuing violation of literary boundaries, there is the urban space and searches in history.

The verses follow a similar path.

It is perhaps the country in the world more like listening to poetry.

Therefore celebrate two of the most important festivals of poetry: the International Poetry Festival of Medellín and the Spanish American Poetry Festival of Bogota.

The current Colombian poets write from the island, are isolated individuals, without belonging to a particular group or generation and poetic dialogue alone with tradition and influences.

Their voices breaking with the tradition of movements in the history of Colombian poetry.

Despite the above, pay homage to the masters of previous generations (Mito, Stone and Sky Nadaism, Generation Without a Name), in a time where together we talk about patricide.

Not pose a break with his predecessors, but instead the assimilated and made a critical reading of his works.
