Trace and dislocations are the two works of Colombian artist Fernando Rubio Ahumada will be in Cartagena, thanks to the Sea of Art, and has presented this morning with the Councillor for Culture, Rosario Montero.

Research that attempts to draw coordinates from images and testimonies of a number of people and new generations that are far from their homeland.

The series is composed mainly by photographic images juxtaposed with diverse people and places that match in a common physical point.

The process started in Europe (Spain, France, Portugal) and has spread to South America (Colombia, Argentina, Uruguay), with interviews and photographs to people in different cities.

The project tells the first-person testimonies and attempts to involve the viewer more actively, trying to feel identified with the different situations experienced and narrated with text and images.

The series aims to establish points of analysis on the diaspora, displacement (voluntary or not) and the uprooting, a series of key factors when establishing or trying to understand a generation of displacement, dislocation and change.

Dislocations will be exhibited at the Centro Cultural Ramón Alonso Luzzy until 31 August.

In July, Monday to Friday from 10.00 to 14.00 and from 17.00 to 20.00, Saturday 10.00 to 14.00.

In August: Monday to Friday from 10.00 to 14.00 hours.

AUTHOR BIOGRAPHICAL A

Fernando Rubio Ahumada was born in Colombia in 1970, studied Fine Arts at the Universidad Jorge Tadeo Lozano in Bogota from 1988 to 1992 and worked as a teacher in the same university in 1993 and 1994.

In 1995 he traveled to France and in 1998 he graduated in Arts and Aesthetics and Art at the University of Paris I, Sorbonne.

Since 1998 lives and works in Spain, where he studied for a doctorate in the Faculty of Fine Arts of the Complutense University of Madrid, in 2001 obtained the Diploma of Advanced Studies.

He has exhibited since 1990 in Colombia, Brazil, Venezuela, Spain, France, Chile, USA, Germany, England, Australia, Ecuador, Peru, Argentina and Sweden.

He has received several awards and honors.

He combines his artistic activity with art education and the creation and management of interactive art projects.
