The Local Police of Cartagena, in collaboration with the General Directorate of Traffic, has carried out a campaign to monitor and control vehicle speed limits.
Out of a total of 8791 controlled vehicles, 207 drivers have been denounced, which means 2.35% of the violator drivers.
The controls were carried out from April 16 to 22 by different points of the city, especially in neighborhoods and councils, with 207 complaints for exceeding the established limits.
The Road Safety Law and the General Circulation Regulations establish the regulations applicable to the generic and specific limits of speed, overtaking speed and distances between vehicles.
The breach of these rules is classified as serious or very serious infringement, sanctioned with fines of 100 to 600 euros.
